Who We Are

We See Puzzles to Be Solved,
Not Battles to Be Won

Mindful Negotiating helps people approach difficult conversations with greater intention, awareness, and confidence.

We bring together experience in negotiation, workplace mediation, crisis negotiation training, leadership, psychology, law, behavioral science, and adult development. This multidisciplinary perspective helps us look beyond rigid scripts and one-size-fits-all solutions to understand what is really happening in the room.

Whether we are working with attorneys, executives, organizations, community leaders, or individuals, our goal is the same: to make conflict less intimidating and a lot more productive.

How We Approach the Work

Negotiation happens whenever people with different needs, priorities, or perspectives have to make a decision together. We believe it should feel human, practical, and focused on understanding the situation rather than overpowering the other person.

Our approach combines real-world experience with research from negotiation, psychology, behavioral economics, international relations, neuroscience, family systems, adaptive leadership, workplace mediation, and other disciplines. This includes research conducted in collaboration with Professor Ellen Langer’s Lab at Harvard University’s Department of Psychology exploring the social contagion of mindful behavior.

By bringing these perspectives together, we help people slow down, ask better questions, recognize what may be influencing the conversation, and discover productive possibilities they might otherwise miss. We also believe these skills should be useful, understandable, and accessible beyond corporate training rooms and higher education.

Meet the People Behind Mindful Negotiating

Our trainers, advisors, mediators, and subject-matter experts bring different experiences to the table, but we share a common belief: even the most difficult conversations can become more thoughtful, constructive, and productive.
