Kurtis Minder has over 25 years in the cyber security field. As a Founder and Lead Responder for GroupSense, Kurtis MInder has navigated some of the largest ransom response cases worldwide. Kurtis brings real world threat actor engagement techniques and cyber intelligence tradecraft to the Mindful Negotiation mission.

Kurtis Minder is the CEO and co-founder of GroupSense, a leading provider of digital risk solutions. Kurtis built a robust cyber reconnaissance operation protecting some of the largest enterprises and government organizations.

A pioneer in the ransomware response space, Kurtis has become known as one of the lead ransomware response professionals. He has successfully navigated and negotiated some of the largest ransomware, breach, and data extortion cases worldwide.

Kurtis brings nearly 25 years of information technology and cyber security expertise to his current role. He has played a pivotal role at AT&T, Caymus Systems (Acquired by Citrix), Mirage Networks (Acquired by Trustwave), and Fortinet (FTNT). Having worked in operator, architect, and leadership roles, Kurtis' breadth of experience in building systems, assisting customers, and leading teams has enabled a multifaceted approach to building a business.

He has taken an active role in advising growing tech companies and frequently contributes to the start-up and investment community. After gaining an understanding of how ransomware spreads, he has volunteered his time teaching small businesses how to avoid being victims of ransomware at Chambers of Commerce, Associations, and through Cyber Insurance providers.
