Anselm Dannecker
German by birth, accent and weird mannerisms; currently based in Somerville, MA with my wife.
I am a Fellow at the Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Collaboratory at HKS currently focussing on climate negotiations. Negotiation consulting and trainings on the side.
Interested in changing my interests about every other week: Currently, I cannot get enough of the history of negotiation (esp. sovereign debt negotiations) and behavioral neurosciences.
I am fascinated by hearing about the pathways of people especially when they are very far away from “home.” Love talking about Vanagons, remote life and cooking; hate talking about visa issues but tend to do it a lot. Since this year, I identify as a climber in the hope that I will keep at it if I truly believe in being one.
Elise J. Willer
Currently residing in the Green Mountains of Vermont… increasingly eager though to travel again.
Trained mediator, working as a consultant in negotiation, conflict and having tough conversations (with ourselves and with others).
Interested in building an intentionally diverse work portfolio both in activity (training, facilitating, mediating, coaching, etc.) and type of client (non-profit, for-profit domestic, int’l, gov’t, etc).
Intrigued by cultural difference and its impact on our behavior in moments of tension and conflict and yet regularly reminded (and amused) by how similar we actually are.
I love learning about people, particularly their passions and listening to them reflect on their raison d’être.
Emily Steck
Originally from SF & NYC. Now based in London, UK.
I’m a professional actor and writer for stage, screen, and audio. I am also the co-founder of ‘once more with feeling.’ We offer actor-led communication training to empower clients to tell their stories with effective ease. We use acting techniques and rehearsal practices used by professional actors to help clients develop a style of speaking that is confidently their own.
Interested in finding new applications for artistic skill sets, improving communication, and finding holistic approaches to improve the way we relate to one another.
Enjoys talking about the influence of pop culture on relationships, TV/Film, theatre, and cooking!
Jessica Holton
Currently in Brooklyn, NY
I’m a co-founder of Actually, redefining what it means to go to couples therapy and building a kinder, more loving world through relationship wellness. I’m also a co-founder of Access Distributed, a nonprofit to expand access to careers in finance for underrepresented undergrad students at non-target schools.
Interested in challenging the status quo and understanding the way we all relate to each other. Intrigued by the power human interactions can have on each of us.
Loves spontaneous adventures, traveling and talking about dreams.
Patrick Maxwell
For now, I’m based in the greater Boston area; I’m a recent JD/MA graduate from Harvard Law School and the Fletcher School at Tufts.
I worked in conflict zones in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan for four years before graduate school. Currently, I want to contribute to, and deepen, the understanding of “peacebuilding” within the United States -- whether in responding to extremist violence, addressing identity polarization, or negotiating resolutions to conflict.
My primary “toolset” is some mixture of interests-based negotiation, conflict analysis, social psychology, systems theory, and interpersonal communications.
In my leisure time, I spend a lot of time on improv theater, tabletop RPGs, craft cocktails, and my dog, Millie.
